Maine Association for Community Service Providers Announces New Executive Director

We are pleased to announce that Lydia Dawson, Esq. has been named the new Executive Director for the Maine Association for Community Service Providers. Lydia brings passion for our sector, the drive to advance our association’s mission and the skill to improve our effectiveness.

Lydia Dawson is a Maine native, born and raised in Washington County. She completed a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Maine and went on to obtain a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law with a concentration in public interest law.

She is licensed to practice law in Maine and most recently worked with Disability Rights Maine as a staff attorney providing free legal services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

She is an accomplished and recognized speaker statewide and nationally in the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities, supported decision-making, and alternatives to guardianship.
